 Jeep Cherokee Interior Review

Inside the Jeep Cherokee

The Cherokee offers seating for five, which makes it great for families and when you're simply giving your friends a ride to different events, alike.

Up front, there's more than 41 inches of legroom, while the back row enjoys more than 40 inches of legroom.

Plus, heated front seats come standard, while ventilated front seats are available to help you quickly warm up or cool off.

Beyond the second-row seats, too, there's 25.8 cubic feet of interior cargo volume for you to pack up various items. Plus, load in longer items or more supplies by folding down the rear seats. This gives you a maximum of 54.7 cubic feet of interior cargo volume.

Performance Specs of the Cherokee

The Cherokee delivers a smooth ride along the roadways and is capable of getting up to cruising speed swiftly. This is thanks to the power both its standard engine and available turbo engine provide.

With the power it generates, the Jeep Cherokee can tow a maximum of 4,000 pounds, when properly equipped. This is plenty of strength to bring your small fishing boat or jet ski out to the lake.

You'll also enjoy an efficient commute in the Cherokee from day to day, as it gets up to an EPA-estimated 21 city/29 highway MPG.

Legendary 4X4 Capabilities

Being a Jeep, the Cherokee naturally offers some true off-roading capabilities. Two 4X4 systems are available between the Cherokee's trims. With its various driving modes, there's ways to handle all kinds of terrains.

You can tune your Cherokee to handle snowy roadways, muddy trails, or whatever else lies on the path ahead. It even has the ground clearance to drive over various obstacles and cross through shallow water.

Jeep Cherokee Safety

The Cherokee also prioritizes your safety. Its frame is made with high-strength steel and, along with its eight airbags, this helps optimize its crash protection. It even has systems that help limit the chances of a collision happening in the first place.

One of these driver-assistive systems is Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking. This detects if your vehicle is getting too close to the vehicle ahead. In some cases, too, it'll even automatically apply the brakes to help your vehicle come to a stop quickly and safely.
